The main purpose of Attleboro Auxiliary Police Association is to assist the members of the unit with funds needed for annual training and equipment replacement.

The officers initial investment for uniforms and equipment is well over a thousand dollars. In the past if an officer needed an item replaced it was another out of pocket expense, the AAPA is trying to elevate some of that expense through annual dues and fundraising.

In addition to uniform and equipment expenses there are required in-service training and re-certifications that are a must if an officer is to continue to be a member of the AAPU, these too can be quite costly.
