This application portal is for institutions seeking to join the Association of African Universities. We welcome applications from nationally-accredited higher education institutions in Africa and beyond, subject to meeting our membership criteria.

Desks Officer

  • The Desk Officer (DO) of the member institution should be any other member of staff other than the VC/President/Register of the of the member institution. The main responsibility of the DO is to ensure that each mission under his/her supervision operates based on strict strategy and follows the AAPU Standards of operation.
    The DO is the main contact point for dissemination of communications between the AAPU and his/her imitations in both directions. The DO must liaise consistently and productively with the Technical advisers in the AAPU Headquarters and have an overall strong knowledge of the technical issues and best practices on all points related to the programmes of AAPU. He/She must be strategically positioned with the institution to receive and disseminate information that is circulated by the AAPU and as well be able to identify the correct contacts internally for a variety of opportunities offered from the AAPU.
